Excitement is high among Duval County Republicans and Democrats alike for Monday night’s donnybrook of a debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
There will be debate parties in support of both campaigns Monday night.
Republicans will convene at a familiar spot for such events: the Mudville Grille at 4456 Hendricks Ave.
They are expecting a full house at the restaurant on Jacksonville’s Southside.
Democrats, meanwhile, have myriad options also.
The official watch party for “Hillary for Florida” will be at the IBEW Hall at 966 N. Liberty Street, a popular location for Democratic events historically.
The Clinton campaign expects attendees to “watch Hillary Clinton contrast her policies with Trump’s dangerous rhetoric and highlight what’s at stake in the election” at the IBEW Monday night.
Games will be on offer also, as attendees play “Debate Watch Bingo.”
“Former State Senator and Labor leader Tony Hill will be in attendance to help kick-off the event as well as other notable Duval area Democratic leaders and elected officials,” claims a Facebook page associated with the event.
