League of Women Voters puts Chuck O’Neal on its board

O'neal

Apopka environmentalist and former Democratic candidate for Florida Senate District 11 Chuck O’Neal, has been appointed to The League of Women Voters of Florida’s State Board of Directors.

O’Neal rejoins the board after resigning early this year to run for state office. He previously served as first vice president of The League of Women Voters of Florida, campaigned this past year largely on an environmental platform, and was defeated in the Democratic primary by state Rep. Randolph Bracy for the SD 11 nomination.

O’Neal, a business entrepreneur, is one of two men on the league’s board.

“Chuck brings the utmost passion and professionalism to the work of the League. I am honored to welcome him to our state leadership,” said LWVP President Pamela Goodman stated in a news release.
