Top House Republicans will hold a fundraiser the day before the 2021 Legislative Session begins to boost the reelection campaigns of Reps. Michelle Salzman and Kaylee Tuck.
The fundraiser will be hosted by House Speaker Chris Sprowls and the next two in line to succeed him, Rep. Paul Renner and Rep. Daniel Perez. Clearwater Republican Rep. Chris Latvala is also listed as a host.
The fundraiser will be held in the Magnolia Room of the Governors Club at 11:30 a.m. on March 1, one day before the 2021 Legislative Session begins.
Salzman and Tuck are both in the 2020 freshman class.
Salzman, who represents House District 1, has about $10,500 in the bank for her reelection account.
The Tallahassee fundraiser comes a few weeks after Salzman hosted an event in the Pensacola area that brought in about $160,000 for the House Republican campaign arm chaired by Renner.
Tuck, who represents House District 55, has about $5,500 in her campaign account.
Salzman has not yet drawn a challenger in her reelection bid. In HD 55, Libertarian Angel Garcia has opened a campaign account to challenge Tuck.
