Ron DeSantis claims Joe Biden ‘committed a fraud on the public’ by claiming he’d unite America
.

Biden DeSantis
DeSantis says people are 'dissatisfied' with Biden.

Florida’s Governor said Monday in Jacksonville that President Joe Biden “committed a fraud” during his campaign for President by saying he would unify the country.

“He is being held captive by a very militant, leftist impulse in his party. This is an impulse that I think the vast majority of Americans reject. But nevertheless, that’s what driving this,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said, adding people are turning on Biden because his policies not only aren’t working, but aren’t what the Biden campaign sold.

“I think that adds salt in the wounds,” DeSantis said. “They see gas prices going up. They see grocery prices, they see all of these problems — see, of course, the disaster in Afghanistan, the disaster at the southern border. So they see all that and that’s problematic. But then it’s like, wait a minute: How is it uniting the country to by having an open border … being humiliated in Afghanistan … trying to impose mandates that are going to cause millions of Americans to lose jobs and livelihoods?”

“I think that is why people are so dissatisfied,” DeSantis added.

The Governor had more to say on the subject, including the gap between promises and reality on COVID-19 leaving Biden “in a bad spot.”

“Biden’s in a bad spot because he ran for President saying he was going to unite the country. He ran for President saying he was going to shut down COVID. He demagogued (former President Donald) Trump about COVID, blamed every COVID infection on Trump, and said as soon as he was President, he was stopping it. And yet you’ve seen, you know, the results have been even worse,” DeSantis said. “He failed to shut down the virus. And he failed to unite the country.

“His proposals that he has done are more divisive than any policies, Republican or Democrat, in my lifetime that I can think of. So that’s what’s driving the dissatisfaction,” DeSantis said. “Part of it’s the policies aren’t working and I think we have the responsibility to call him out.”

“But I think also the dissatisfaction is driven by … people appreciate when you run and say you’re going to do stuff and you do it, even if they don’t agree with it, they kind of give you credit for doing what you said you were going to do,” DeSantis added.

The Governor’s tough talk toward the White House and beleaguered Biden appears to be paying off, at least in the estimation of those playing the 2024 Presidential prediction markets.

“DeSantis, who had been in fourth position, overcame (Vice President Kamala) Harris on Oct. 16 and is now just 1¢ below the current President with 22¢ as Harris has dropped to 13¢,” explained a “Predictable Insights” email from PredictIt recently.

DeSantis also likely feels emboldened to make his case due to evidence that the national Democratic Party appears to be downplaying its chances in Florida. The Democratic Governors Association will not be as aggressive in the state as it was in previous cycles, and one can expect DGA not to be an outlier.

Biden is a chronic liar. Remember “Republicans who say I will open the borders is nothing but a racist dog whistle.”

BTW Has anyone noticed there is now an Africa American on what seems like every commercial? Nice trick considering they make up only 13% of the population.

Sandra, every time I point out how racist Republicans are, they howl it ain’t so, and you come along to make my point. Thanks.
BTW, ever notice how even though there are only 3 or 4 Blacks at a Trump rally, they always end up with the best seats, right behind Trump on camera? Nice trick, as you would say.
We may all be a bit racist in one direction or another, glad to see you don’t deny it.

She has a valid point. Like most Democrats when you have no intelligent reply, attack with racism accusation. At 13% why?

Gee Clair, I’d say complaining about too many Blacks on tv is a bit racist. Hope you don’t watch football or basketball.
Thought you guys were against quotas.

Rubbish. Nobody made your point. You don’t have one. It is an observable fact that in the quest for DEI (that is, diversity equity and inclusion), major advertisers employ minorities more frequently and at greater percentage than their numbers in the general population. Merely to mention this, according to Shallow Joe, is to out yourself as RACIST RACIST RACIST!!! Well, Joe old man, soak this up: if you hear the dog whistle, you’re the dog.

And there’s the typical howling. Methinks he doth protest too much.
“Merely to mention this”….yep, to call somebody out for demanding a quota on how many Blacks can appear on tv.
          Got it!
Hey, how bout a list of pro-diversity business to boycott?

Typical howling? Shove it. Nobody is calling for a quote except for casting directors who insist on diverse faces in advertisement. And of course, university administrators seeking to implement DEI even if that displaces Asian Americans from admission. You entirely miss the point, curb conversation and cry RACIST like the cranky obtuse fool you are.

And I will call DeSantis a murderer for his failed covid prevention policies. Ronnie is talking BS to keep his name in the media for his run for President against Trump.
Perhaps he should address the Trump lies such as:
“The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”Feb. 26,2020

And the many other fraudulent statements from Trump regarding Covid.

A good job running the country into the ground. He said when he was running he has a plan to get rid of the virus but wouldn’t share any details until he was elected. He’s elected and lied about any plan.

We have a border crisis out of control, inflation that will destroy the middle class and crush the poorer of our citizens. A totally unnecessary energy crisis and a divided America like never before. And of course, we still have hundreds of Americans left behind in Afghanistan. Every single American should be screaming from the roof tops to impeach Biden for this alone. Imagine if it were one of your loved ones just left behind to be murdered by the Taliban.

Trump wanted to pull out of Afghanistan, but he did have the balls to do it. He knew there was no way to do it without facing huge negative political consequences (Obama knew the same).
Also, abertm, tell me specifically how Biden policies have led to higher gas prices, inflation, and the supply chain crises.

Biden has not achieved unity. He never will as long as his predecessor puts a political hit on any GOP officeholder who dares cooperate.
Obama, like Biden, faced a similar challenge, similar opposition, and took over after a final disastrous year preceding him.
Both took over after a complete fiasco (Bush’s financial meltdown; Trump’s incompetent response to covid and the largest loss of life in American history), and both were subjected to claims of illegitimacy: birtherism and election fraud (both cons pushed by the same orange conman).
Obama eventually presided over 7 years of economic growth, and hopefully Biden will see 3.

Ocean Joe and TJB, last of the Manchurians.
Biden/Harris cut US oil production by 2 million. From 13 million to 11 million. Closed pipeline, we have a energy crisis. Lack of domestic oil production.

The US southern border had been destroyed thanks to Biden Harris. Impeachable.

Afghanistan debacle goes down as worse u s capitulation. No one said stay, Trump stabilized, Biden destroyed it.

Economy has been flooded with nonpartisan bills, twice by bi partisan congress in 2000. 3 times now with mega bills, one party rule votes in 21. Excessive spending programs, paid leave, paid unemployment extended, children tax credits, other excessive spending causing high unemployment.

On all key issues of note Biden/Harris are upside down in polling by 13 to 15 pts. This guy is off on every topic. He is down by 10 to 15 pts in 40 states. Including Blue states.

The supply chain was working appropriate under trump. All the unemployment caused by Biden Dems, lack of workers , driver trucks, rail, laborers etc has paralyzed our economy.

TJB, more people in the U S have died under Biden in 2001, compared to Trump in 2000. You really are ignorant like the rest of your Dums.
Your lies, deceit and ignorance won’t work.

America’s Governor is the leader. Governor Ron sets the table, his leadership is making the Repub. party responsive to people. Be clear, America’s Gov would defeat Biden and or Harris.

You guys are whining like little kids. Did you see the debacles in Virginia, N J, Texas , few other states. Extrapolate those races across America and it’s doom. As a political scientist, I predict we are looking at a net 50 seat swing in house of reps., 6 senate seats. Huge pick ups for GOP.
America’s Gov, DeSantis leads way in Governorship pickups.

    Read and weep.
