Florida Polytechnic University this academic year will welcome students and researchers from around the world, including five students and researchers in the Fulbright Program and a Charlemagne Prize Fellow from the Netherlands.
One Florida Polytechnic student will travel to Canada as a Killam Fellow as part of the Fulbright program.
The researchers include Dr. Jasmina Casals–Terré and Dr. Alejandro Rolan Blanco from Spain; and Dr. Wenfang Xie from Canada.
Graduate students include Alexander Burkhart and Jan Henry from Germany. Sabine Kerssens is the Charlemagne Prize Fellow.
“The community at Florida Poly is incredibly welcoming,” Burkhart said. “I am excited to start my master’s program in data science and to build an everlasting learning experience with my new colleagues at Florida Poly.”
The scholars are among the 28 awardees who have attended Florida Poly in the past five years as part of the U.S. State Department’s Fulbright Program.
“Today, we celebrate a group of distinguished talents who are committed to pursuing a boundless academic and professional journey that will allow them to tackle interesting scholarly issues at Florida Poly,” said Mustapha Achoubane, senior advisor to the president for international relations.
