Greenberg Traurig has the most lawyers in it’s lobby corps according to the new edition of Best Lawyers in America, which said the firm’s law and policy division earned its coveted “Top Listed” designation.
The national designation means quite a bit for a firm like Greenberg Traurig, which has more than 2,000 attorneys on staff across its 38 offices, which include D.C. and the political or commercial capitals of 10 states.
The designation, from the 2018 edition of Best Lawyers in America, goes to the firm with the most lawyers in a particular location and practice area. According to the service, the designation is based exclusively on quantity of lawyers.
Even though “Top Listed” doesn’t consider quality, Greenberg Traurig has a track record of putting high-level talent in its stable, including former lawmakers and their closest aides, who know more than a thing or two about pushing policy.
There’s also that Government Relations “Law Firm of the Year” award Greenberg Traurig picked up from U.S. News’ 2014 edition of “Best Law Firms.”
Best Lawyers publishes a number of regional editions, and Florida principals might find the “Top Listed” designations the firm picked up for the Sunshine State and the Tallahassee metro area a little more intriguing.
Ditto for the state California and its capital city, Sacramento.
