Moore has named Liz Shawen Underwood as the managing director of the agency’s advocacy practice.
Shawen Underwood started with the agency in the firm’s Tallahassee headquarters more than a decade ago, where she has since led advocacy, branding, media and public affairs campaigns at the state and federal levels on behalf of business, health care and a range of other industries.
Terrie Ard, President and COO of Moore, said Shawen Underwood’s “passion for the clients and causes she serves is evident in the successes she achieves. Her experience will continue to benefit our current clients and help us engage new clients who want to secure wins on behalf of their causes and issues.”
Over the years, Shawen Underwood has worked with a range of clients in multiple states, such as the Florida Dental Association, state chapters of the Epilepsy Foundation, Florida Internet & Television, and numerous healthcare and business coalitions.
“I am thrilled for this opportunity,” she said. “Working on issues that are going to make a difference is what drives me, and I look forward to continuing to work with our advocacy team and clients to help drive success.”
The native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Association of the Big Bend.
